Summer School Fees

Recently, James Hedlund completed summer school at Geneva County High School. He'll move into the eighth grade this coming school year.

James was three minutes late to class one morning, which resulted in his parents being hit with a $20 late fee.

Oran and Linda Hedlund said they have no problem paying the $50 fummer school registration fee, but they never heard of a late charge.

Geneva County High School Principal Mike Whittaker said that the late fee is his policy and that absence or tardiness will not be tolerated during the short summer term.
