A woman has been charged with being an accessory after the fact to the murder of a good Samaritan who was shot after he tried to defend her.
Crystal Michelle Roy is accused of hiding her boyfriend, Andrew Sheppard IV, at her mother's Panama City apartment and misleading
investigators after the killing Thursday.
Twenty-six-year-old Sheppard is charged with murdering 25-year-old Christopher Forehand, of nearby Callaway.
Roy, a 20-year-old unemployed dancer from Panama City, was arrested Friday and freed after posting a $10,000 bond.
Sheppard remained jailed Monday without bond on an open count of murder. Prosecutors or a grand jury later will decide on a specific charge.
Forehand tried to intervene when Sheppard bloodied Roy's nose and lip with a punch as the couple argued outside a local strip club. Deputies say bystanders separated the men but Sheppard then shot Forehand after he said something that enraged the suspect.
