The closing of Wilson Street Elementary School in Dothan has been a blessing for the Wiregrass Habitat for Humanity.
Recently the school had to sell all remaining furniture and equipment. Items ranged from computers to desks or simply whatever was left behind, and approximately $4,500 was raised.
Officials said the money will be put into the school system.
But, what about what wasn't sold? Habitat for Humanity was called and the remaining furniture was donated, with the approval of School Superintendent Dr. Leon Hobbs.
