Abbeville High School is in line to get some money from the state.
The campus was hit by a tornado in November of last year.
Students completed the school year in portable classrooms set up at the National Guard armory.
The main building on campus has been repaired, but students "still" attend class in portable buildings.
A four million dollar appropriation from the state will pay for a new 100,000 square foot facility on 50 acres near the intersection of Highway 431 and State Road 10.
Plans have been completed but are waiting for approval, and Superintendent Billy Davis says the process could take a while.
Davis says construction of the new school should begin in May.
The building should be finished in time for the beginning of the 2005 school year.
