Congregations across Coffee County are being warned to make sure their churches are "securely locked."
Sometime Monday night, one or more persons broke into the Faith Chapel Community Church in the Perry Store Community.
The suspects stole nearly $5,000 worth of musical instruments and sound equipment.
The burglary also resulted in more than $1,200 damage to the building.
Over the last two-weeks, six rural churches have been broken into.
In most instances, the thieves made off with electronic equipment.
Sheriff Ben Moates is alerting the public to be aware of any unusual, or suspicious activity around churches.
