AUBURN, Ala. (AP) - Auburn police have obtained arrest warrants for a Union Springs man already jailed in southeast Alabama for a series of robberies and sexual assaults.

Police said 37-year-old Mark Gabriel Perry was identified as the suspect in two separate Auburn incidents in which female victims were robbed and assaulted. The first incident was reported January 8th and the second report was filed January 18th. Police said both victims positively identified Perry as their attacker.

Perry also was identified as a suspect after other law enforcement agencies obtained warrants for his arrest in similar incidents in Troy, Dothan, Ozark and Daleville. He's currently being held in an Ozark jail.

Perry awaits federal arraignment on a charge he robbed a post office in Newton in December.
