Separate Shootings Overnight in Birmingham Claim Three Lives

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) - Birmingham police are investigating fatal shootings, including an attempted murder-suicide that occurred overnight. The first happened just after midnight on 24th Street North.

The Jefferson County coroner says Reginald Wallace died of a self-inflicted wound after apparently shooting his girlfriend, who is in UAB Hospital today. Her name and condition was not available.

The second shooting happened about four hours later. The coroner
said Patrick Grayson died in a shooting on SJ Bennett Drive.

There's no word on any arrests.
