The Dothan city commission has gotten the ball rolling to give the animal shelter more space.
Commissioners approved for poly-engineering to design improvements for the shelter's interior.
The first phase of the project will cost 11,000 dollars.
Sav-A-Pet actually had input in the design.
“We are very grateful for the additional kennel workers for the plans to improve the shelter. We also look forward to offering whatever help and guidance we can with Poly-engineering in whatever resolution they determine and accept,” said Renee Jones of SAV-A-PET.
The project is expected to take up to 4-months to complete.
