TALLADEGA, Ala. (AP) - A veteran firefighter in Talladega resigned Friday following his arrest for allegedly stealing more than seven-thousand dollars worth of gasoline over a four-year period.
Police Chief Alan Watson said former fire Lieutenant Brian Taylor turned himself in after he was served with a warrant. Watson said the thefts, uncovered in a special audit, occurred between October 2003 and this month.
The 36-year-old Taylor was charged with first-degree theft.
