Authorities are crediting a female store clerk in Geneva with helping in the arrest of Mark Perry of Union Springs.
Last Wednesday afternoon, Perry reportedly used duct tape to tie up the clerk at Alabama Title Loans on Highway 52.
Police Chief Frankie Lindsey says the victim held a cool head and convinced the suspect not to harm her. "[The] victim in this case gave a description of the suspect on what he was wearing. That helped in getting the information and making an arrest on this deal."
Wishing not to be identified, friends of the victim say she's glad the information she gave helped lead to Perry’s arrest.
