The Alabama Department of Transportation will hold a public meeting in Troy next week to discuss a highway project.
Plans are being made to 4-lane another stretch of Highway 87, from Spradley Drive to Pike County Lake Road.
Work on the project is tentatively set to begin in November of next year.
DOT officials say maps of the project including proposed lines of right of way will be available for public inspection at the meeting.
The hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, January 30th, from 5 until 7 pm at the Department of Transportation office on Highway 87 in Troy.
