A suspected robber is behind bars.
For several months William Holmes has been living with relatives in Enterprise. Now, the 33-year-old Birmingham man is "behind bars" at the Coffee County Jail.
Holmes is charged with two recent armed robberies in Enterprise.
Last Tuesday night, Holmes allegedly used a knife to hold-up the clerk at the Big/Little Store on Damascus Road.
Police say several days earlier, he robbed the Hobo Pantry on Rucker Boulevard.
In each case no one was injured.
Authorities say relatives of Holmes alerted police that he might have been involved in the robberies.
At this time, Holmes is awaiting first appearance on two-counts of armed robbery.
