FORT RUCKER, Ala. (AP) - Fort Rucker officials evacuated about 25 houses in post housing Monday afternoon because of a ruptured gas line.

The post fire department plugged the ruptured line and everything returned to normal within 40 minutes.

According to a statement from post officials, there was no danger to anyone in the area, and no injuries were reported.

The line was ruptured when a construction crew hit it while working in the area.
