Henry County Vandals

A series of vandalisms has caused thousands of dollars in damage to both public and private property, and a reward is now being offered to help catch the suspects.

Vandals first hit public parks along Lake Eufaula last Tuesday; more damage was done Wednesday night.

At least a dozen mailboxes along Highway 95 and Henry County Road 97 were destroyed.

But the worst damage was at White Oak Park just across the line in Barbour County.

Restroom and light fixtures were damaged and windows were broken.

Henry County Sheriff Lawton Ed Armstrong says each incident will be filed as a separate offense.

When caught, the suspects could face federal charges.

Crimestoppers will pay up to one thousand dollars for information in the case. Sheriff Armstrong says all callers will remain anonymous. To collect the reward, call 585-5200 or 793-7000.
