Okaloosa Co. Police Searching for Man in Attempted Kidnapping

The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a report of a kidnapping. A 12-year old boy was abducted and later released unharmed.

The child told investigators he was forced into a car at gunpoint around Farmers Street in Crestview shortly after getting off his school bus Tuesday afternoon.

The man reportedly drove around town for a while and then dropped the boy off on Bill Lundy Road.

The boy walked through woods and eventually made his way to a home on State Road 85.

The resident drove the boy home.

The child describes the kidnapper as a Hispanic male with sideburns and a heavy accent.

The suspect's car is dark blue with tinted windows and a black interior with cloth seats.
