As the summer season winds down, the Houston County Farmers Market is closing.
"We had a lot of customers come through here. We had a really good crowd," says David Bell, farmer.
The weather has taken its toll on the crops this year.
"It was flooding in early April. We had freezes. In the first of June, when you get it ready together, it turns 100 degrees," says Bell.
Farmers say they had more customers coming in to this year's farmer's market than ever before.
"The extra location downtown didn't hurt us. We had as many customers here on Saturday's as we did there. In a lot of cases, we saw a lot of customers come to both locations," says Bell.
Bell hopes to increase that customer base next year.
You still have one more morning for the Houston county farmer's market.
Farmers will be out selling at the Houston County Farm Center Saturday from 7 am till noon.
