A jury convicted George Ferguson of manslaughter Thursday.
He fired six rounds into the wall of the Old Dudes Motorcycle Club when his friend Carl Foster was shot in the back. Sentencing is set for Aug. 21.
Foster was shot during a holiday celebration on Dec. 27 and died an hour later at the hospital. Investigators said five of the six shots went through a plywood wall. One of them hit Foster.
Ferguson said he thought the gun was empty and that Foster was one of his best friends.
