ATLANTA (AP) - Authorities are trying to determine how a stowaway found dead in the wheel well of a Delta Air Lines flight from Africa got aboard the plane.
The body was found when the plane landed about 8:45 am Friday at
Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
Delta issued a statement saying that the airline had confirmed the body of a stowaway had been found in the wheel well when Flight 35 arrived from Dakar, Senegal.
Delta spokewoman Betsy Talton sayd the flight had left Dakar more than nine hours before the body was found.
Auhorities have NOT released the victim's name.
NO additional details are available pending an investigation by federal and local law enforcement.
