Those in favor of the ban say it will promote a healthier lifestyle. But smokers say it's a violation of their rights.
Some statistics indicate that most of Florida's smokers live in Northwest Florida.
One state that does have a full ban on smoking is California. Their law was passed in 1994, but it wasn't fully enacted until 1998.
