A Northwest Florida man lost his life in a one-vehicle accident Thursday afternoon in Jackson County.
Florida Highway Patrol identified the accident victim as 44-year-old James Cook of Chattahoochee, Florida.
Investigators said after Cook's truck left the roadway, he overcorrected and caused the truck to flip over, hit a sign and came to rest upside down with Cook pinned inside.
He was pronounced dead at the scene. Officers said Cook was wearing his seat belt at the time of the accident.
