A Henry County man was arrested Wednesday after authorities raided a suspected drug lab near Haleburg.
Henry County Sheriff Lawton Ed Armstrong says 34-year-old Reggie Whiddon was allegedly cooking up illegal methamphetamine in a storm shelter buried in his back yard.
The entrance to the shelter was hidden under a doghouse.
Investigators found a complete drug lab boxed up and ready to move.
They also found drug-making supplies and some of the finished product.
Sheriff Armstrong says Whiddon also had materials to make bombs and used a sophisticated surveillance system.
Authorities also raided Whiddon's welding shop off Highway 431 in Newville.
The sheriff says they found more paraphernalia as well as some of the chemicals used to make meth.
