ATLANTA (AP) - Atlanta police arrested a 26-year-old Barrow County mother early Tuesday who is wanted in the stabbing deaths of her two children.
Police arrested Felicia Williams just after 1 am Tuesday at an apartment (in the 1200 block of Gault Street). Barrow County authorities had been looking for her since her children were found stabbed to death in the family's home in Bethlehem in northeast Georgia last Wednesday.
Police say they received an anonymous tip about 12:50 am Tuesday.
Police issued a statement saying the woman was found hiding in a
closet inside the apartment in southeast Atlanta.
Barrow County deputies traveled to Atlanta to take Williams to jail there.
The children, four-year-old James Ross Hill Junior and nine-year-old Elexis Hill, were buried yesterday. The children's grandmother made an appeal during the funeral for her daughter to turn herself in.
Williams is charged with murder in the children's deaths. She also is charged with aggravated assault in connection with an attack on her father.
A reward of three-thousand dollars had been offered to anyone who provided information leading to the arrest of Williams.
