John Hinckley Not Ready

A psychiatrist says John Hinckley Junior is still sick and shouldn't be allowed to visit his parents without supervision.

The expert is the first government witness in a hearing to determine if the man who shot President Reagan and three other people in 1981 should be allowed the visits.

The witness says Hinckley still shows "a tendency" to not be fully honest with his doctors.

The psychiatrist says Hinckley's behavior shows "intrinsically poor judgment."

Hinckley's lawyers wrapped up their case today by calling his mother to the stand.

She says there's "no issue of dangerousness in John at all."

The hearing continues Thursday.
