An escaped prisoner who threatened to kill anyone trying to stop him is now in the Panama City Jail.
Kevin Nix escaped from a roadside work camp in Taylor County, Florida.
Investigators say he broke into an unoccupied Bay County home, where he took a shower and changed into some of the owner's clothes.
The homeowner, James Jones says when he got there, Nix held him up with one of the guns he kept in his house.
Nix told Jones he wanted to be driven to Panama City Beach, and that he would shoot if police confronted him.
Bay County sheriff's deputies and Panama City Beach police officers surrounded the motel where Nix was staying yesterday (Monday) morning, but Nix gave up without a fight.
