The holiday harvest food drive is in full swing and on Saturday some local boy scouts spent the day collecting food for those in need.
Scouts from 11 different troops went door to door in the Dothan area gathering more than 300 pounds of food.
They delivered the food to the Wiregrass Area Food Bank where it will be distributed to families in need this holiday season.
The food bank's goal is to reach 20,000 pounds, which equals about 15,000 meals.
If you missed the boy scouts this morning, you can still donate to the holiday harvest food drive.
A number of local stores and businesses have set out holiday harvest barrels, or you can drop your donations off at the Wiregrass Area Food Bank on Twitchell Road.
