Salvation Army

Area residents were helping the less fortunate all across the Wiregrass this weekend.

This past week the Salvation Army kicked off their red kettle drive.

On Saturday, they filled Christmas stockings for seniors and children at the Southside Super Wal-Mart in Dothan.

Shoppers donated everything from toothpaste and hairbrushes, to books and toys.

And girl scouts helped to collect and assemble the donations.

This holiday season the stockings will go to 200 needy residents in Houston, Henry, and Geneva counties.
