The Alzheimer's Resource Center in Dothan has received some good news that will help police if a victim of the disease needs assistance.
On Sunday, the Pilot Club of Dothan presented a nine thousand dollar check to the Alzheimer’s Resource Center to help purchase a locator system.
Local law enforcement officials will use the equipment to find wondering or missing Alzheimer’s patients.
Currently, only Geneva County is equipped with this hardware.
The public service organization says they believe the money will make all the difference in finding a missing Alzheimer’s patient.
The Pilot Club's check comes on the group's 60th Anniversary in the Wiregrass.
The group says they have other community projects already underway.
