All six districts in the Circle City will undergo a major facelift. The city of Dothan will be resurfacing streets at a cost of a little more than $1.5 million dollars.
The project has been delayed for a few years now, but thanks to a contract with APAC-Southeast Inc, the project will begin within 10 days.
Mayor Pat Thomas says it needs to be done.
“If we do not do this we get further and further behind on our resurfacing,” said Mayor Thomas. “This is a main item that we can not ignore and to not do this just puts us further and further in the hole.”
The first of the resurfacing projects will begin on Flowers Chapel Road, where the street is riddled with pot holes.
