Moore Continues Fight

Chief Justice Roy Moore 200x120

Ousted Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore told a national television audience this morning that does not consider himself a martyr. Yesterday the Alabama Court of the Judiciary removed Moore from office for refusing to remove his Ten Commandments monument from the state judicial building.

Appearing Friday on CBS, the 56-year-old Moore said he plans to continue his fight. He also said he plans to unveil legislation next week that would rein in the power of federal courts.

Meanwhile, Richard Cohen, president of the Montgomery-based Southern Poverty Center, said he plans to ask the Alabama State Bar Association to strip Moore of his license to practice law.
