Ozark Mayor Billy Blackwell, city commissioners and the city school board held a special meeting on Wednesday.

It was announced the city school board will hand over the Flowers Center to the city.

In return, the city will donate four-acres of land at Ozark’s industrial park for a bus maintenance facility.

"If you think about it you have Ozark Civic Center, Flowers Center, Eagles Stadium, Perry Recreation Center, Ozark Senior Center, all right there in one location and it just makes sense for us to bring all of those under one umbrella," says Mayor Blackwell.

Officials hope to have the Flowers Center fully operational for events by fall.
