This Friday and Saturday, shoppers can look for items such as these to be exempt from state and local sales tax.
Clothing with a single value of $100 or less per item, that applies to essential clothing and footwear but not to jewelry.
Computer equipment and related accessories used for non-business, home or personal use up to $1,500.
General school supplies used in the classroom, such as pens, pencils, notebooks and calculators with a single value of $20 or less per item.
Children's books with a single value of less than $20 per item.
