5 Killed in Afghanistan Helicopter Crash

KABUL, Afghanistan (AP) -- Officials say five American service members have been killed in helicopter crash in southern Afghanistan.

A statement issued Tuesday from the NATO military coalition says the helicopter crashed on Monday in an area where there was no enemy activity.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.

A U.S. official says all five of the dead are American.

The official says the helicopter went down outside Kandahar city, the capital of Kandahar province.
