PANAMA CITY, Fla. (AP) -- A Panhandle judge has set the date for the fourth trial of a man accused of stabbing, shooting and bludgeoning his neighbor in Fountain near Panama City.
Philip Dean Brock is charged with murder, grand theft and robbery with a firearm in the 2012 death of 65-year-old Terry Brazil. His new trial is set for Sept. 29.
Brock is accused of killing his neighbor before stealing items from his house.
The knife and gun used in the killing were never found, but prosecutors have used DNA evidence found on a roll of duct tape and a bed post. They say the DNA is Brock's.
But three separate 12-person juries have not been able to reach a verdict.
Brock faces life in prison.
