Escapees Sought

jail escapees

A nationwide lookout has been posted for four inmates who escaped Monday evening from the Autauga County Jail. Sheriff Herbie Johnson said the prisoners were discovered missing during a head count about 7:15 p.m.

Johnson said deputies are reviewing video from security cameras which captured images of a person standing near a car that was parked near the jail. He said the video shows the men were picked up a short time later.

The sheriff also said the four inmates are not considered dangerous.

They are: 26-year-old Bryson Blaine Burch, serving a sentence for assault; 22-year-old Carlo Twofeathers, serving time on charges of possession of a forged instrument; 26-year-old Steven Duane Poe, sentenced on drug possession and theft by deception and 20-year-old Kenneth Lamar Rudolph, convicted on robbery charges.

Johnson said overcrowding at the jail did not appear to play a role in Monday's jailbreak.
