Some Dothan teachers are teaming up with K-Mart and a local accounting firm to deliver Christmas gifts to needy families.
Each year for the past 18 years, Southside K-Mart has provided wrapped clothes and toys for kids at Cloverdale and Hidden Lake Elementary Schools.
This year, Jackson-Thornton Company employees helped wrap the gifts.
The schools teachers make a list of families that need help then give it to K-Mart for the store's gift tree donation drive.
Southside Kmart employee Sharon Wyatt said, "We feel the need to do this because everyone started at the bottom and had to climb their way up. We've all been there and we turn around and we see people that are struggling, and the mommas and the daddies are doing everything they can. And Santa Claus has got to come to everybody's house and there's no discrimination as far as we're concerned."
Parents will pick the gifts up from the schools this week and save them for their kids to open Christmas morning.
