Lottery Scam

Curtis Judah of Ozark got a letter this week informing him he had won more than $600,000 in a Spanish lottery.

All they needed was his bank account number to deposit the money, but since Judah had never heard of the lottery and had never entered, he was immediately suspicious.

The Alabama Bureau of Investigation is looking into the case.

If you get one of these letters, contact the nearest law enforcement agency, and never give out your bank account number. Investigators say someone in Iraq is using e-mail to work a similar scam on the Internet.
