Work continues on the Highway 84 bypass, which will connect Enterprise with New Brockton.
In addition to the bypass, work is finally underway on Tyler Street or County Road 533. The road has been closed for nearly two years following damage from Hurricane Ivan.
Police Chief Dale Grimes says an Andalusia based construction company is working on the project. The project should be completed early next year.
"Once they get the pipes through the concrete block, they can start working on the road again. They hope to get it finished pretty much next month, January and we'll have the road," said Chief Grimes.
Tyler Street is often used as a shortcut into New Brockton.
Mayor Charles Cole says he's eagerly waiting its reopening.
