A public hearing on water usage from the Chattahoochee River system will be held next week in Dothan.
The U.S Army Corps of Engineers is trying to decide how much water should be withdrawn from Lake Lanier, north of Atlanta.
Critics have accused the Corps of releasing too much water downstream.
However, Alabama wants a steady supply for industry, including the Farley Nuclear Power Plant.
The meeting is scheduled for December 5th at the Dothan Conference Center on Oxmoor Road. It will begin at 5 and end at 8PM.
Other meetings will be held in Atlanta and Tallahassee.
