The sale of Coffee County’s one-time largest private employer appears to be one-step closer to reality.
This week a hearing was held on Dorsey Trailer in Montgomery bankruptcy court.
The judge heard a request from the original high bidder, Cattle Company of Colorado, for an extension to list its assets.
The company had previously put up $200,000 for the purchase of the Elba Company.
The judge ruled the money would be forfeited if the Colorado company doesn't establish its asset record.
