ALBANY, Ga. (AP) - The first few people in line at the Circuit City camped all night just to get the best post-Thanksgiving holiday bargains.

Cheryl Haley, said she was there for one purpose: a laptop for $299 , the only thing on her little boy's list.

The 37-year-old mom arrived at 4 pm yesterday and expected to
save more about 500 dollars.

She and her sister, 35-year-old Wendy Blount, of nearby Lee County, argued over who earned the spot at the head of the line.

They were among the 300 people lined up outside the store when the doors opened at 5 am. When the doors opened, shoppers rushed into the store, which was piled high with boxes of LCD computer monitors, DVDs and flat-screen televisions.

To avoid the possibility of confrontations of getting into the store and getting merchandise, managers of a number of stores, including Office Depot and Circuit City, passed out vouchers for the various hot sale items such as the $299 computers and discounted televisions.
