Forbes magazine says the total net worth of America's 400 richest people this year is $955 billion.
That's up 10-percent from 2002.
According to Forbes' annual ranking of the nation's 400 wealthiest individuals, Microsoft's Bill Gates holds the top spot. His fortune increased by $3 billion to $46 billion this year.
Investor Warren Buffett keeps the number two position, although his wealth remains unchanged at $36 billion.
