The Houston Treatment Center is ready and waiting to open on Highway 84 West of Dothan. The facility would dispense methadone to people addicted to narcotics.
Dr. Henry Born obtained a certificate of need to open the clinic last winter, but Houston County Commissioners convinced state officials to reconsider the case.
A public hearing was set for this Wednesday in Montgomery, but Houston County officials said the proceedings have been delayed.
Attorneys for all of the parties involved are still supposed to meet to discuss the case.
A new hearing date has not been set.
