MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - Watch your speed, buckle up and don't
drink and drive.

Alabama State troopers estimate that 19 people will be killed in Alabama traffic crashes over the 102-hour Thanksgiving holiday travel period that begins at six p-m today and ends at midnight Sunday.

Last year 19 people died in vehicle crashes throughout the state during the holiday travel period, the Alabama Department of Public Safety says.

Troopers said ten of the vehicle occupants killed were not wearing safety belts, and alcohol was a factor in at least three of the fatal crashes.

Public Safety Director Colonel W-M Coppage said all available troopers will be on patrol during the holiday.
