Fire Departments Burglarized

Break-ins at volunteer fire departments in one county have authorities worried.

Just recently, someone came through the front door of the Coffee Springs Volunteer Fire Department.

They took a cash box containing $150 to $200.

Authorities say the break-in happened late at night.

It's believed the same person or persons also burglarized the Mims Hill department where $900 worth of firefighting equipment was taken and damaged.

If you have information on either of the break-ins, please contact the Geneva County Sheriff's Department at 334-684-5660.
