After 2-years of waiting, prep work has gotten underway on road repairs in central Coffee County.
A crew with carter construction of Andalusia began pre-limary work on Coffee County Road 533.
It's better known as Tyler Street and is a shortcut into New Brockton.
It was closed after a wash out from Hurricane Ivan in September, 2004.
The repairs will include filling in a 50-foot sinkhole.
A company spokesman says the entire project should be completed by mid-February.
Until then Tyler Street remains closed to all traffic.
