HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (AP) - Authorities say a third teenager has died from injuries she suffered in this morning's horrific crash of a Huntsville city school bus.

Huntsville Hospital C-E-O David Spillers said Tanesha Hill, whose age was not available, died at the hospital from her injuries. At a news conference today, Police Chief Rex Reynolds said 18-year-old Christina Collier and 17-year-old Nicole Ford also were killed in the crash.

Reynolds said a preliminary investigation showed a car apparently came close to or struck the bus, causing it to plow through the rail on the elevated section of I-565 and crash onto a city street below.

A school spokesman said more than 30 students were aboard the bus when it plunged off I-565, with most either taken to hospitals or treated at the scene.

Police said investigators with the National Transportation Safety Board were en route to the city to begin their inquiry.

Governor Bob Riley said teams from the Department of Transportation
and the state Emergency Management Agency were dispatched to
provide assistance to city officials.
