Alabama Lt. Gov. Lucy Baxley says she's relieved that Gov. Bob Riley will try to spare cuts to senior citizen centers in the state.
Baxley, a Wiregrass native, says there is federal funding that will somewhat help ease the 2004 fiscal year shortfall. But she admits, 2005 is going to be tough to budget.
The legislature will start working on that budget in January.
She says people have to realize they will be looked upon for revenue sources.
The special session begins Monday.
Governor Riley is expected to unveil his budget plans at that time.
