Rep. Albert Hall Dies Days After Re-Election

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (AP) - Long-time Democratic state Representative Albert Hall of Gurley has died just days after winning re-election to an eighth term.

A friend of Hall, state Representative John Robinson of Scottsboro, says Hall died about midnight Sunday at Huntsville Hospital. He'd been in the hospital for a few days undergoing tests for heart problems.

Hall was 70. He was first elected to the Alabama House in 1977.
He won an eighth four-year term in last week's election.
