A man charged with murder for a 2004 shooting death at a Pike County night club was found not guilty Wednesday.
Twenty-two-year old Cedrin Ferodd Carter of Troy was accused of murder in the shooting death of 34-year-old Donney Howard Carpenter of Brundidge at Club Paradise on Christmas Day, 2004.
Carter was found by jurors as acting in self-defense, based on the evidence Carpenter attempted to shoot Carter first.
Carter reportedly had a previous trial in which he pleaded not guilty instead of self-defense which ended in a mistrial.
