PEACHTREE CITY, Ga. (AP) - A train derailment just south of the
Peachtree City airport sent one person to the hospital Thursday.
Captain Peki Prince with the Peachtree City fire department says
the three train cars were carrying plastics produced by Noveon
Incorporated -- which has a plant in the area -- along a secondary
track from the main CSX line.
Prince said none of the products are hazardous. She declined to
release the name of the injured person.
The derailment overturned all three cars near Georgia Highway 74
and Sierra Drive next to the Noveon plant. Peachtree City is about
35 miles south of Atlanta.
